Frequently Asked Questions.

What should I know before receiving my henna application?

Henna takes around 30 minutes to dry, so prepare to have the area you want henna uncovered for at least 30-45 mins.

Ensure to avoid any oils or lotions on the area where henna will be applied.

You want to avoid water for the first day, so shower before your session.

For the following day’s shower, apply a generous amount of coconut oil, vaseline, or a natural balm on the stain to protect it from water.

Henna takes around 48 hours to darken fully. It starts out bright orange and gradually darkens to a reddish brown, so don’t freak out when it’s light when it first comes off!

How far in advance should I book my bridal henna?

You should book bridal henna for a guaranteed spot at least 6 months in advance. If you book less than two months in advance, there's a high chance we won't be available!

What aftercare do you recommend for the best stain?

You should keep natural henna on for at least six hours; I recommend twelve hours. When you are ready to take the henna off, don't wash it off. Scrape it with a flat, blunt object like a credit card or dull butterknife. Remove any complicated henna pieces by softening the henna using coconut or oil. Once removed, avoid contact with water for 24 hours, as water doesn't let the henna oxidize and stain as dark. Your henna stain will reach its darkest point 48 hours after removal!

What is your cancellation policy?

All bookings require a non-refundable deposit. This deposit is deducted from your overall cost and is non-refundable. If you reschedule more than one in advance, the deposit can be transferred to another day. If you cancel/reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment, the deposit is lost, and a new deposit will be required to re-book.
